The Annual Antique and Classic Boat Festival has been a tradition for a quarter of a century at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels.   The museum is the perfect place for this classic boat festival they both celebrate the history of antique and classic boats.  The show is brought to you by The Antique and Classic Boat Society Inc. – Chesapeake Bay Chapter in Maryland.  The main feature of this Boat Festival is showcasing a variety of Antique and Classic Boats including Egg Harbor, Chris Craft, Matthews, Century, Rybovich, Trumpy and Lyman.  This is a judged show of Preserved and Restored Wood also Classic Fiberglass Boats.

The festival offers a variety of things to do for an example check out the Nautical Flea Market where you might find a little piece of history to collect or a hard to find part you’ve been looking for.  Vendors will be located in a couple areas in the Vendor Alleys, the Vendor Tent and in the Small Boat Shed they include Boat Builders, boat products, boat kits, boat restorers and boat safety.

If you have the time Saturday and Sunday there are Seminars for you to attend and for the little ones there is always fun Kid’s Activities to entertain them.

Another special feature held within the boat festival is The Arts at Navy Point where you can see a beautiful display of art by some talented Maritime Artists and Craftsmen that comes here from all over the United States and Canada.  It’s a great place to shop for gifts or find a perfect piece for your home.
