WE'VE GOT WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR !
Searching for a group of people who enjoy a good party? Want to cruise with knowledgeable boaters where a helping hand is always nearby? The Sassafras River Yacht Club could be the answer to your wishes for relaxed, unpretentious pleasure.
The modest $100 yearly dues ( there is no initiation fee ) provides members with a wealth of benefits:
- A handsome burgee to fly from your boat with the first year membership.
- Depending on market prices, Captains and Mates can attend the yearly Crab feast without charge or at a greatly reduced cost. This event is held in Rock Hall and makes for a nice weekend cruise.
- Opening Day festivities are free for Captains and Mates.
- The opportunity to chose the cruises of interest to you from the eight to ten trips planned yearly by the club.
- Your membership card will provide access to the facilities of sister yacht clubs, in both the U.S. and overseas.
- BOAT/US membership can be purchased for half price.
- Membership to CBYCA (Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club's Association). The primary purpose of CBYCA is to protect the interests of boaters through legislation and interaction with national, state, and local boating and waterways organizations, both public and private. The CBYCA operational region covers the five states of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, plus the District of Columbia. SYRC members can take advantage of a reciprocity agreement between some members clubs of CBYCA. You must first check with the other member clubs for any membership privileges available, e.g., special transient pricing. See the CBYCA website for more information: www.cbyca.org
So if you treasure your days on the water and value the company of fun loving fellow boaters, your new friends at the Sassafras River Yacht Club are looking forward to your arrival.
